Observing the small crowd as your imagination takes you on adventures to sweet destinations, mindfulness, new perspectives & visions of becoming who God created you to be. Slowly sipping your favorite cup of coffee, tea, matcha or hot chocolate in a room filled with Biblical history, quiet creatives, first dates, very light chatter, the smell of fresh ground coffee beans & the sounds of fresh crinkled paper ready to embrace the innovation & boldness that inspires a creative such as yourself."

The short story above describes the type of feeling, connection, & experience I want you to have when you walk into The Inked Liberation Bookstore & Cafe & while visiting us here online. I was inspired to create a space for creative introverts like you & me, to be able to express ourselves freely, to have our art shared, to give a voice to those who don't feel heard, all while being a part of a judgement free, supportive, and compassionate community.

This is OUR Community. OUR Voice. You are not alone, even when you don't want to be bothered. If you know you know, lol.

My goal is to foster liberation, spiritual transformation, and character development while providing a sanctuary, resources, tools, & information for introverts & creatives to express their unique voices mainly through the art of written expression, their passions and creative works, or just to simply share their story.

A Safe Haven for Quiet Creatives

Since I was about nine years old, I loved to journal and write. I used journaling as a safe haven and a mental escape from the abusive nature of my household and external environments. To mentally get away I began entering writing and poetry contests at school and had my own private celebrations with God whenever I won. I brought home the prizes, and it was really exciting to me because some of those prizes were items such as radios and books, things that I could not afford on my own or that I was made fun of for showing interest in by people I thought cared about me. Sometimes the prizes that I won were taken away from me and as a broken little girl it stripped away a bit of my spirit every time.

My love for art, music, & writing grew. The prizes were special to me, and I took really good care of them because no one gave it to me, I earned it all on my own. Yes I felt liberated & special & the only one who was there to cheer me on was Jesus. He was the only one that never gave up on me as a child and I am honored to say that he is still with me today He is the true definition of faithful. He's my best friend & really my only friend. I have God to thank for making me feel special and heard. So, I'm stepping out on faith and creating a space for the beautiful men, ladies and youth, who are like me, who are in need of an escape from the noise of the world & sometimes unhealthy environments.

There are some people God places in your path who don’t just cross your life — they shift it. For our second Quiet Creator Feature, I’m honored to highlight someone whose story carries weight, resilience, and unmistakable divine fingerprints: Kylan Tucker.

I met Kylan through my work as a Member Services Representative. What started as a simple interaction quickly became something deeper — a kingdom connection, the kind you don’t plan, but God orchestrates with precision.

Kylan is in his early twenties, but his spirit carries the depth of someone who has lived through storms and come out with wisdom in his hands. He is a car accident and coma survivor, a young man who has walked through darkness and woke up with a renewed love for God, a sharpened sense of purpose, and a quiet strength that speaks louder than words ever could.

Right now, he’s in what he calls his isolation season — a season of pruning, listening, rebuilding, and becoming. And somehow, in God’s timing, our paths aligned right in the middle of it.

We’ve spent hours talking about God, life, culture, spiritual identity, and the kind of growth that only comes from surviving what should have taken you out. Our conversations are the kind that stretch you, challenge you, and remind you that God is always writing something bigger than what you can see.

Today, we ended one of those conversations with a simple truth: We spiritually love each other as brother and sister in Christ. Nothing more, nothing less — just the pure, kingdom‑rooted connection God gives when He wants two people to sharpen each other.

Kylan told me he sees me as a future speaker and coach for women walking journeys like mine — survivors of domestic violence, addiction recovery, and spiritual rebuilding. Hearing that from someone who has survived his own battles meant more than he knows. And I agreed, because that’s the path God has me on.

And here’s the part he doesn’t know: I’m featuring him here because I see his calling too.

Kylan is a young, ambitious, future leader — the kind of man God is shaping quietly, intentionally, and powerfully. He has potential that stretches far beyond his current season, and I believe God has great things in store for him.

This feature is my way of honoring his journey, his resilience, his faith, and the divine connection God placed between us. We’ve already talked about collaborating in the future — and I believe that will happen in God’s perfect timing.

For now, this is simply a spotlight on a life God has clearly touched, preserved, and prepared.
